How The Auction Works

The auction is a simple timed auction. (It is not a live auction with an auctioneer.)  The auction begins at 10am (BST) on Friday the 27th September and starts to finish at 3pm on Sunday the 6th October.  As the auction ends there will be a 30 second gap between each lot.  Hence lot 1 ends at 3pm, lot 2 ends 30 seconds after 3pm and so on.

None of our lots have a hidden reserve price. Each lot will either start at £1 or have a starting price which if met would secure the item provided there are no additional bids.

Registering and Bidding

First please register or log in to Tracks Auctions.  You can do so here or direct through Saleroom.com

To make your bid, which will be deemed to be your maximum bid, you simply place the amount you want to bid in the maximum bid box. The software will then bid in increments to try and obtain the lot for you at the lowest possible price.

If you are outbid you will be sent an email notifying you of this and you will also be able to see this yourself on screen. If you have been outbid, you may, of course, input an increased bid.

Buyer’s Premium

Purchases are subject to an additional buyer’s premium of 30% (VAT will be added to this figure for buyers in the UK). For example, if your winning bid was £100 you would pay £130.  Bidders in the UK would also pay VAT of 20% on the commission of £30 making a total of £136.00, in this instance.
