A collection of five white label LP test pressings and two acetates that were formerly the property of an Apple Studios employee. The collection includes the following test pressings:
‘Music For A Younger Generation’ by Alan Parker & Alan Hawkeshaw.
‘The Brass Family LP’ by Peter Winslow.
‘Mediterranean Intrigue’ by Neil Ardley.
‘The Legendary Me’ by Wizz Jones.
a compilation LP of Free and Cat Stevens songs.
It includes the following acetates:
a 10 inch acetate for the end credits of 'On The Buses' a Hammer Comedy Classic
a 12 inch acetate for the track ‘Road Ladies’ by an unidentified artist.
The records are accompanied by a postcard addressed to Apple engineer Phillip Macdonald at Apple Studios which reads as follows: ‘To Phil and Mal and Eddie And Glynis with fond memories from Kilburn and The High Roads betcha we get back to the best place one day Ian x’.
The lot is also accompanied by a payslip from the former Apple Studios employee and a letter by that reads:
‘I am [an] ex-employee of Apple Studios, 3 Savile Row, London W1S 3PB. Verify that this is a genuine Apple pay slip as given to me when I was a tape operator.’
The condition of the lot is very good minus to very good plus.
