Freda Kelly’s personal collection of all seven UK Beatles Fan Club flexi discs. The flexis are housed in a 1960s hardback record case. Freda has handwritten her name and address inside the record case: Freda Kelly, 107 Brookdale Rd, Sefton Park, Liverpool 15.

The flexis have been graded both visually and aurally. Each of the discs has been listened to for details of jumps, skips etc. for which the flexis are notorious and all play just as the gradings below suggest. The gradings are as follows:

1963 – Condition of the flexi very excellent and the sleeve is excellent. Housed in the original mailing envelope, postmarked London N.W.1 2nd December 1963. The label on the envelope is addressed to Miss F. Kelly, 107 Brookdale Rd, Sefton Park, Liverpool 15. The condition of the envelope is very good.

1964 – Condition of the flexi is very good plus and the condition of the sleeve is very good minus.

1965 – Condition of the flexi is excellent and the sleeve is very good.

1966 – Condition of the flexi is excellent and the condition of the sleeve is excellent.

1967 – Condition of the flexi is very good and the sleeve is very good plus.

1968 – Condition of the flexi is excellent and the sleeve is very good plus.

1969 – The flexi sticks in one spot, otherwise the condition is excellent and the condition of the sleeve is excellent.

Provenance: from the collection of Freda Kelly, Beatles National Fan Club Secretary 1962 to 1972. Accompanied by a signed letter of provenance from Freda Kelly. Also comes with a Tracks Ltd. certificate of authenticity.

This set of flexis was used by Apple to produce the 1970 compilation of the Beatles Fan Club Christmas flexi discs entitled ‘From Then To You’. Freda recalled that when they came to produce the album EMI did not have a complete set of tapes of the flexis and nobody at Apple owned a complete set of the flexis. Freda remembers being asked by Peter Brown to take the set of flexis down to Savile Row where they were copied in order to produce the Christmas Fan Club album.
