Derek Taylor was The Beatles press officer from 1968 – 1970. He also returned to work for Apple later in his life. The Apple compliments slip is accompanied by an original Warner Bros Records compliments card. The message printed inside reads: ‘With Compliments Derek Taylor’. The company address is printed along the bottom as 3300 Warner Boulevard, Burbank, California, 91505’ and there is a Warner Bros Records logo on the front of the card. Derek Taylor began working for Warner Bros in the 1970s and served as the Vice President of marketing/creative services from the mid-seventies until leaving the company in 1978.
