A USA vinyl pressing of the 1961 Patsy Cline album ‘Showcase’ that that was formerly owned by Ringo Starr. Ringo has signed the album on the reverse. He has signed his first name only in blue ballpoint pen.
The record is stamped Armand’s, 234 Cherry Hill Mall, New Jersey and it was likely purchased when Ringo was with The Beatles in the USA in 1964.
The condition is very good.
Provenance: Ringo left the record at the home of his mother Elsie and his stepfather Harry Graves in Gateacre, Liverpool and it was then given to a neighbour Mrs M. Trindle. It comes with a note from the previous owner that reads as follows:
‘My Dad’s Auntie Mrs M. Trindle used to live next door to Ringo’s mum Elsie in Gateacre Brow, Liverpool. My Dad used to spend a lot of time at his aunts when he was a teenager (Robert Parker) and used to get hand-me downs from Elsie that belonged to Ringo as well as signed records and other pieces’.
