A vintage sixties typed set of lyrics to the 1969 Beatles song ‘Maxwell’s Silver Hammer’. The lyric sheet is the type that was used in EMI Studios, Abbey Road, London when the group were recording the song in 1969 during sessions for their 'Abbey Road' album.
In Peter Jackson’s ‘Get Back’ film members of The Beatles can be seen using a similar kind of typed lyric sheet but, obviously, relating to titles from what was to become the ‘Let It Be’ album.
The sheet measures 20.2cm x 33cm (8 inches x 13 inches). There is creasing and some small tears to the top edge. The condition is very good.
Provenance: from the estate of The Beatles road manager, Mal Evans.
