An original CD award to recognise sales in the United Kingdom of more than 900,000 copies of the 1997 Elton John album ‘Love Songs’ presented to Bob Halley, Elton's manager. A copy of the CD is displayed along with the album artwork above a plaque with details of the award.

The award measures 41cm x 41cm (16.1 inches x 16.1 inches). The condition is excellent.

Provenance: originally sold as lot 129 in the Gorringes sale held on the 19th October 2010. The majority of items in this auction were consigned by Elton’s mother, Sheila Farebrother and Elton’s manager, Bob Halley.
