A collection of three animation cels of a butterfly from The Beatles 1968 film ‘Yellow Submarine’. They have been printed in gouache on celluloid sheets, reference notes are written along the bottom edge.

The cels measure 97cm x 51.6cm (16 inches x 12.5 inches). The condition is very good.

Provenance: from the estate of Chris Impey who was involved in creating the typography for both of John Lennon’s books and who worked closely with Robert Freeman and The Beatles. Chris was also involved in the production of the ‘Yellow Submarine’ film.
