An original handbill for the debut performance of the Jimi Hendrix Experience at the Marquee Club, London, England on 24th January 1967. The Experience were not originally scheduled to perform on the evening, but they replaced the Spencer Davis Group. News travelled fast around London by word of mouth that Jimi Hendrix would be performing at the venue, Jimi and his band performed in front of a sell-out 1400 crowd. It is reported that many famous names were in the audience including members of The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and many more.
The handbill measures 21.5cm x 28cm (8.5 inches x 11 inches). There are vertical and horizontal creases with some wear on the folds and the edges. The condition is very good minus.
