An original exercise book used by John ‘Mitch’ Mitchell during his French lessons at school. Mitch has written his legal name ‘John Mitchell’ on the from cover along with his form, date ‘29.9.60’ and ‘French Rule Book’. There are six pages of handwritten notes in blue ink and pencil at the front of the book and at the back is a list of tenses, a drawing and notes in pencil.
Mitch Mitchell became a musician through working at Jim Marshall’s drum shop while still at school. Early in his career he gained experience working with the Pretty Things when he temporarily replaced Viv Prince and as a session drummer for The Who while they were searching for a replacement of Doug Sandom. On the 6th October 1966, Mitch auditioned for the Jimi Hendrix Experience and remained with the group until Noel Redding left the group in June 1969.
The book measures 9.7cm x 16cm (4 inches x 6.5 inches). The condition is very good plus.
