An original programme for a 5 a-side football match held in aid of Aston Villa on the 31st January 1971. The match was 'girls vs groups' and The Move, Idle Race, Wasp, members of Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, a number of DJs and The Fortunes played. The inside back cover has been signed by John Bonham in black ballpoint pen along with Richie Walker of Idle Race and Raymond Froggatt.

The programme measures 13cm x 20cm (5 inches x 8 inches). There are crease lines where it has previously been folded with wear to the corners and spine, also a 1.2cm tear to the right edge of the back cover. The condition is very good minus.

Provenance: accompanied by a letter from the recipient which reads: 'I am 68 yrs old. In the late 60s and early 70s I used to skate regularly at Solihull Ice Rink. It was decided in the early 70s to run a football tournament to aid Aston Villa DA. Various local groups were invited to play 5 a-side football and the ice was covered in wood. I can verify that the signatures on the programme were collected on that day.'
