A pair of original empty cannisters which were used to house film of the 1972 concert film ‘Born To Boogie’ which was directed by Ringo Starr and released on Apple Films. The film contained footage of a concert at the Empire Ballroom, Wembley, London starring T Rex, Ringo Starr, Elton John and Marc Bolan. The larger cannister bears an Apple Films sticker with the words ‘”Born To Boogie” 16 M COL. PRINT OPT. TRK’ written on it in black marker pen. Similar words have also been written on the side of the cannister in black marker pen. The smaller cannister bears a Twickenham Film Studios Ltd with the date '31.8.72' and the words 'T.REX APPLE REEL 8 DUB 3 TRACK' written on it in blue ink.

The larger cannister measures 40.5cm (16 inches) in diameter. There is some wear and rust to both cannisters. The condition is very good minus.
