The Beatles White Album EmiDisc Acetates (UK)

Two single sided 12 inch Emidisc acetate recordings of sides 1 and 2 of ‘The Beatles’ aka ‘The White Album’. Each of the labels has ‘Stereo’, ‘The Beatles’ and ‘Side 1’ or ‘Side 2’ handwritten in black pen. Each label has also been initialled RJL, the initials of EMI employee Richard John Langham who would have cut the acetate. Although there is no date on the labels, according to Mark Lewisohn’s book ‘The Complete Beatles Recording Sessions’, the stereo versions of all 4 sides were cut on 21st October 1968.
There are two jumps on the first track of side 2 otherwise the discs both play though very good. Visually there are numerous light surface marks and areas of mottling causing some dulling of the lacquer. The condition of the vinyl is very good minus.
