An original USA press release for the 'McCartney' LP on Apple letterhead, dated April 1970. It consists of four sides of questions and answers relating to the recording and release of Paul’s ‘McCartney’ LP. The final page bears a printed Paul McCartney signature. Also included are three black and white promotional photographs. One of Paul, one of Paul and Linda and one of Paul and his daughter Mary. Paul’s answers to some of the questions in this ‘interview’ led to the ‘Paul Quits The Beatles’ headline in the Daily Mirror of the 10th April 1970 and created the furore over the group splitting up.

The press release measures 21.5cm x 28cm (8.5 inches x 11 inches). It is machine folded. The condition is excellent. The photographs each measure 20cm x 25.5cm (8 inches x 10 inches). There is some slight yellowing to the bottom of one of the photographs. The condition is excellent.
