A collection of drawings by designer Mike Ross on two sheets of paper comprising preliminary artwork for the cover of the ‘My Love’ single by Paul McCartney. The lot consists of the items listed below.

An original black and white drawing (which was used as the basis for the final illustration). This contains annotations by Mike relating to animation ideas for the proposed accompanying TV commercial.

The final colour illustration consisting of a photocopy of a black and white drawing onto tracing paper overlayed with colour paper beneath.

A colour visual which is a copy of the original illustration on a black background. This is adhered to a piece of white paper.

Each page measures 30.5cm x 22cm (12 inches x 8.75 inches). The condition is excellent.

Provenance: from the collection of designer/art director/photographer Mike Ross. Mike was responsible for album covers by many artists including Paul McCartney, Elton John, The Police and Sting. Comes with a Tracks Ltd. certificate of authenticity.
