A Friar Park compliments slip on which George Harrison has handwritten a note to a retiring gardener who was in his employment at his Henley home.
George has written the date ’26 September 1991’ at the top of the note and it reads as below.
‘Geoff.
thanks for all your work over the past years (16?) It has been good having you here Geoff. – you were never any trouble – and we shall miss you! Have a good time in the next 80 years and if you get bored – give us a call!! All the best to you and your family. Love George H.’
The letter is housed in the original mailing envelope on which George has written ‘GEOFF’. The envelope measures 14cm x 9.5cm (5.5 inches x 3.75 inches).
The compliments slip measures 18.5cm x 9cm (7.25 inches x 3.5 inches). The condition is very good plus.
