A one page letter in the hand of George Harrison’s mother Louise Harrison that was sent to the Brazilian Beatles fan Lizzie Bravo prior to her one year trip to London to see The Beatles in the 1960s.
The letter reads:
‘Dear Lizzie
Thanks for your letter, you asked about John.
Well he lived with his aunt, and was very good at art, painting writing poetry etc.
Then he became interested in guitars + became one of the Beatles, he’s quite a comic.
Lots of Love
Louise Harrison’.
The letter is pictured on page 176 of Lizzie’s book From Rio To Abbey Road.
The letter measures 16cm x 24.2cm (6.2 inches x 9.5 inches). Folded and laid flat. Some mottling in places. The condition is very good minus.
Provenance: from the estate of Lizzie Bravo, backing singer on ‘Across The Universe’, author of From Rio To Abbey Road. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from Lizzie’s daughter Marya Bravo. Also comes with a Tracks Ltd. certificate of authenticity.
