A piece of white paper autographed by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards in black ballpoint pen. Mick has added the words ‘Good Luck’ above his name, Keith has added the words ‘Best wishes’ above his name.

The autographs were obtained on 11th January 1977 at Aylesbury Crown Court on the day that Keith was convicted of cocaine possession and fined £750 plus £250 court costs.

The drug possession charges, to which Richards has pleaded not guilty, stemmed from a car accident that took place on 19th May 1976 on the M1 motorway near Newport Pagnell which saw Keith’s Bentley running off the motorway into a field then ploughing through a bush and a fence.

During a subsequent search of the vehicle a silver chain with a tube attached to it was found that contained a small quantity of cocaine. When Richards was shown the chain, he denied it was his. During the trial Keith was shown two photographs of himself wearing the exact chain during the Rolling Stones performance that took place in Leicester on 15th May 1976. This was a key piece of evidence that led to his prosecution.

Mick Jagger was sat in the public gallery as Keith took to the stand.

The paper measures 14.75cm x 20.75cm (5.75 inches x 8.2 inches). Folded and laid flat. The condition is very good.
